Nottingham named as one of the most sustainable universities in the UK

The University of Nottingham has been named as the 4th most sustainable university in the UK and the most sustainable urban university in the UK by the 2019 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings.

Participating universities provide numeric data on a number of criteria that give a picture of their commitment to the greening of their campus and putting in place environmentally friendly policies to support sustainability. The UI GreenMetric uses six indicators to rank the universities: setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation and education.
